Terre Gaie Me•Mo Rosso 2020
The Me-Mo Rosso is Terre Gaie’s interpretation of a modern and dynamic red wine. Fruit forward, rich and mouthwatering, showing generous red fruits complemented by spicy notes giving an overall impression reminiscent mountain herbs (amaro). The fresh and fruity Merlot is bolstered by the complexity contributed by 15% Montepulciano sourced from the winery estate vineyards. Not technically allowed in an Italian wine labeled Merlot, but it makes for a great combination.

Lambrusco is Italian for wild grape. Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro clone is about as good as it gets for this category. Grasparossa refers to both the appellation (in the hills of Modena) and to the clone of Lambrusco. This clone of Lambrusco results in a deeply coloured, more tannic and fuller bodied version of Lambrusco. This wine is a treat!

Waterstone Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
With its Bordeaux-like presence, this wine is deep, rich, and lingering. Firm, integrated tannins frame the concentrated, dark fruit (currant, black cherry, wild berry, plum.) Toasty oak and an earthy edge add to the wine’s great complexity. Aromas of cedar oak, currants, black cherries and ripe plums suggest the fruit flavors to come, as does the intense, deep red color of the wine. Dense, mouth-filling cherries, plums, chocolate and tobacco marry with the oak nuances. The firm tannins underlying the wine’s core provide balance, leading to a long, lingering finish.
