Tasting Notes

The Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a true reflection of the two terroirs of DOWIE DOOLE. The cool sandy slopes of Blewitt Springs gifts the wine with the cooler spectrum of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit and a fine lingering tannin line. Combined with the Mediterranean Tatachilla vineyard offering darker, richer notes to the wine. Each block in each vineyard is harvested, fermented, and matured in oak separately. Finally, after 20 months of maturation each barrel was tasted and assessed before the final blend was assembled. Ensuring a balance of characters between the two terroirs of DOWIE DOOLE is maintained, producing a truly individual wine.

The wine presents a gorgeous dark red to purple color. It shows a powerful, soft bouquet with sweet black currants, blueberries and a touch of mint. On the palate berry-spicy, cassis and sloe, black olives, graphite, cedar and finest dark chocolate. Impressive length.
