Terranoble
Terranoble was founded in 1993 by six Chileans who, driven by their passion for viticulture, dreamed of producing top quality wines by combining the excellent climatic and geographical considerations of the Maule Valley with the best traditions in winemaking and the most modern equipment.
The Maule Valley, which lies about 250 kms South of Santiago, is irrigated by the Maule river and enjoys a climate that fluctuates between hot sunny days and cool nights. These unique conditions, with a thermal fluctuation of 15 to 18 degrees centigrade between the day and night, contribute to outstanding growth and maturity of the grapes.
The estate has 90 hectares of vines planted, which includes many of the noble French varietals (merlot, carmenere, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay). All vineyard activity, from pruning to harvest is handled manually.
In 2003, Viñedos Terranoble acquired another 30 hectares in the area of Los Lingues located in the eastern part of Colchagua Valley, 140 Km south of Santiago city. On those hectares the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Syrah are cultivated. The purpose is to obtain different qualities in the grape varieties that those obtained in the Valley of Maule.
As well, the estate has developed holdings in Casablanca Valley with plantings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Terranoble is a member of Sustainable Wine of Chile and they have achieved Vegan certification for their wines in 2020.
