Mixed Cases

As of 2020, we are able to sell pre-selected mixed cases to private (not restaurant) customers. This doesn’t mean that we are able to offer any wine in a mix and match case.  Cases still need to be purchased from the warehouse in full cases and sent out within 48 hours, without any leftover bottles. By pre-selecting mixed cases, we are able to assemble a list of customers so the distribution matches the full cases purchased from the LCBO warehouse.

Every Thursday morning we order our mixed cases, have them assembled and delivered the following Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. If demand is especially high, we can sometimes close orders off early and ship earlier. We will advise you if that happens. Otherwise, expect it late the following week.

    Mixed Case – Rhone Explorer

The Rhône Valley is the second largest wine region in France (after Bordeaux). It is typically divided into northern and southern halves with particular grapes being predominant in each area. The Northern Rhône is the home to Syrah and here we present St. Joseph as a classic example. In the Southern Rhône, Grenache is king, represented in our case by the (almost) pure expression from Châteauneuf du Pape. Finally, we have a blend of the two grapes in the region of Massif d’Uchaux, part of the Côtes du Rhône appellation that covers essentially the entire region.

Tunella Mixed Case Bordeaux Red 2022

The introduction of Bordeaux grape varieties to Friuli, Italy, is generally credited to French agronomists and viticulturists who were brought to the region during the 19th century. This effort was part of a broader wave of experimentation and modernization in Italian viticulture. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc thrived in Friuli’s diverse terroirs and complemented the region’s existing native varieties.
