Tasting Notes

A statement of tradition and terroir, this wine is derived from old vines planted in the region’s traditional Alberello style (free standing bush vines).

Made with 80% NegroAmaro and 20% Malvasia Nera, the average of vines is 50 years. Aged 8 months in medium toasted French oak tonneau and 6 months in bottle. This a serious wine, offering generous ripe black fruit and spice on the nose with an evolving, complex palate full of forest floor, baked fruit and espresso. 14% alc.

Pairs well with game, lamb, cheese or excellent as an after dinner sipper.
