Domaine Saint Michel
Domaine Saint-Michel is owned and run by Vincent Boyer, a vigneron behind wines of “handcrafted distinction”. The family-owned estate is located within the grounds of a 900 year old fortified farm which was run by the Knight’s Templar until the French Revolution.
For years, this small Family-run estate had been supplying grapes to the mighty Chapoutier. One of the most prestigious names in the valley, Chapoutier would snap up the whole vintage to add richness to their own Côtes du Rhône. When new generation Vincent took over, he dearly wanted to bottle his own. He knew it was more than good enough. Well, the beautiful property does lie close to top crus Rasteau, Vinsobres and Cairanne. It shares the same stony soils and arid climate as its neighbours and produces from 40-50 year old vineyards small concentrated grapes.

Domaine Saint Michel Cotes du Rhone 2023
An outstanding cuvée from a small family estate run by the Boyers from their Medieval fortified house in the Rhone valley. A delicious, classic southern Rhone red made from organic grapes of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Traditional vinification in concrete tanks, using low temperature fermentation (under 20°C / 68°F). Maceration in tanks for 2 to 4 weeks. Captivating aromas of raspberry jam, violet, and prominent hints of dried thyme and rosemary define this sun-kissed Syrah blend. Indulgent flavors of baked black cherry and grape jelly create a rich, hedonistic experience. The wine’s luxurious, silky texture beautifully contrasts with its ripe, firm tannins. On the finish, enduring notes of earthiness and spice add depth and complexity to this delightful ensemble.
