Kupelwieser

Kupelwieser wine estate is owned and operated by Peter Zemmer, one of the icons of the Alto Adige region. When the estate came onto the market, Peter could not resist the temptation to purchase, as many of the Kupelwieser vineyards were located next to his existing vineyards.

Nonetheless, Peter pays homage to “Fritz Kupelwieser”, the man who planted the first vineyard in 1878! Fritz’s dedication and commitment smoothed the way for later developments, and so also for the new brand. The wine serves as a reminder of his person and the achievements of the vineyard Kupelwieser. “Fritz“ also stands for freshness and liveliness, two typical characteristics of the wine. Only carefully selected grapes from Alto Adige traditionally produced under strict quality standards are used for this wine.

“Fritz“ reflects Kupelwieser’s innovative approach: the elegant and stylish design of the bottles highlights the appealing and modern quality of the distinguished wine. The key feature of our approach is value: it builds confidence, today as back then!

This wine shows crisp and refreshing Pinot Grigio handcrafted by award-winning winemaker Peter Zemmer. The grapes are sourced from vineyards on the valley floor of the ‘Lowlands’ of Alto Adige.
