Terre Gaie

Terre Gaie (Happy Lands) is a family operation directed by Salvatore Lovo, his wife Rita Ferasin and their daughter Silvia.

The Terre Gaie estate is located in the village of Vo’ Euganeo, half way between the towns of Padova and Vicenza– within a cluster of volcanic hills known as the Colli Euganei with a long winemaking tradition. This modern and dynamic winery produces about 150,000 bottles of high quality estate grown wine from the most favored hillside part of the region.

The winery is modern, dating from 2004, built on the existing property of the Lovo and Ferasin families, who have owned vineyards in Vo’ since the eighteenth century.

The vineyards cover approximately 50 acres, mostly grown with indigenous grapes (Glera – previously known as Prosecco – among the most important) and along with some international grapes such as Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot. The estate vineyards are located on the hillside growing region known as Colli Euganei, with South West exposure at an altitude of 270-350 meters above sea level. Vine age is between 12 and 25 years.
