Tasting Notes

Cuvee Barcelona 1872 Brut Rose pays tribute to Cordoniu origins, commemorating the year in which Josep Raventos crafted the first bottle of Cava. This exceptional Cava is draped in a bottle inspired by Spain’s famous modernist stained glass windows of Gaudi.

Made using the Traditional Method of sparkling wine production (as in Champagne), this is an exceptional bubbly. Pale pink, with a fine elegant mousse. Vibrant, fruity aromas with notes of red fruit, citrus and brioche from aging. In the mouth, an expressive, creamy mouth-feel with fine, very well integrated bubbles, fresh and rounded on the palate.

Perfect pairings include: Cold entrees, aperitifs, assorted cold meats, cheeses, bread with tomato, sardines, snails, white meat casseroles, rice dishes, paella, cannelloni, escudella stew… almost anything really!
