Tasting Notes
Alovini’s Aglianico is a full-bodied, elegant and balanced wine. Deep ruby red in colour with black cherry and plum notes accompanied with hints of spice and earthiness. Delicate aromas of violet, currant and raspberry on the nose.
This is a great food wine. Braised or roasted lamb, beef and pork are obvious choices, along with grilled vegetables.
Food Pairings
Local dishes to accompany this wine include Brasciole or Spezzatino (beef and pork) braised in Aglianico or “Lucanica” (pork sausage).
