Basilicata
Basilicata is a region in Southern Italy, bordering Campania to the west, Apulia to the north east, and Calabria to the south. Basilicata is the most mountainous region in the south of Italy, with 47% of its area covered by mountains. The region is largely unspoilt with uncontaminated lands. Unexplored woods interrupted by mountains and rocky landscapes, makes for a picturesque region of Italy producing wines that are steep in history. But it is in the Vulture area, a mountain of volcanic origin over 1300 meters high, that the Aglianico vine spreads in a very remote region. A wine with amazing characteristics thanks to the ash and lapilli of a distant past and the dark lava rock, rich in minerals and potassium.
