Tasting Notes
The 2024 Le P’tit Chardo (classified as Vin de France) is a pretty straw yellow in the glass. The bouquet is lively with aromas of peach, pineapple and tangerine that leads to a palate that is surprisingly rich and rounded with lovely supporting acidity. The finish is fresh and polished with a pleasant texture and lingering fruit. Excellent value and a very versatile wine to accompany picnics, BBQ’s or a summer evening at the lake.
100% Chardonnay, mostly sourced from higher altitude vineyards in Limoux, is picked via night-time harvesting prior to must clarification at low temperatures, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Food Pairings
Crab and shellfish; Creamy Broccoli Soup; Baked Sea Bass; Roast Chicken; Risotto with Spring Vegetables, Goat Cheese or a young Cheddar.
