Tasting Notes

The majority of fruit comes from the floor of the Napa Valley to achieve the richness and elegance, and for structure and complexity, fruit from the rugged mountain slopes is added. The Napa Valley is best known for the combination of long, warm growing seasons with well-drained volcanic soils that create the optimal ripening conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. By blending these various lots, the wine is rich and well-balanced, a true expression of the Napa Valley. Deep purple with scarlet highlights this wine is bold, layered, and complex. The Thread Count Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is rich with flavours of blackberry, cedar wood, and espresso.

Food Pairings

This wine can be enjoyed on its own or with grilled flank steak, pasta arrabbiata and salty cheeses. Feel free to experiment. You can’t go wrong.

Here’s a Napa cab that captures the essential elegance of the region without the artifice of too much oak or manipulation often found in less expensive examples. It is so well integrated that it is difficult to dissect. Very smooth, warm and a touch sweet perhaps, but not egregiously so. The fruit is ripe blackberry with nicely inlaid vanillin, herbs, caper and gentle spice. It is medium-full bodied, fairly dense and even. The length is excellent. Score 92, David Lawrason, June 2020
