Tasting Notes
The 2015 Tacchino “Albarola” Barbera del Monferrato is produced from a single south-west facing vineyard with vines up to 65 years of age. All grapes are hand picked and brought to the winery in small 20KG crates. After fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks, the wine is aged for 15 months in 500L Tonneaux (30% new).
A dark and inky coloured wine with a bouquet showing black fruit and red berries with tertiary aromas of violets, tobacco and baking spices. Incredibly intense, rich and velvety on the palate, the lingering finish is packed with a melange of black cherry and café mocha flavours. A real blockbuster.
