Tunella Pinot Grigio 2021 (Colli Orientali)
Grown in hills of the Friuli Colli Orientali appellation, the soil is known as “ponca” a marl and sandstone unique to this region.
The fermentation and maturation are done in stainless steel vats. It is accompanied by a lengthy series of batonnage (stirring the juice and yeasts). The 2021 Pinot Grigio features a delicate and mouth-watering bouquet of acacia blossom, pear, lemon curd and chamomile married to a full, rich and flavourful plate.
Venica & Venica Pinot Grigio “Jesera” 2021 (Collio)
Venica uses extended skin contact with the grey skins of Pinot Grigio, leaving the wine with a distinct, copper hue. Also, 10% of the must is fermented and aged on the lees in oak barrels.
The bouquet of the 2021 Pinot Grigio “Jesera” (Jesera meaning small glacial lake) is intriguing with aromas of jasmine, ginger, pear and apple with hints of citrus and incense. The palate is lively and savoury with a creamy and vibrant, slightly tannic finish. This is the ultimate treat for the Pinot Grigio lover!
