Tasting Notes
There’s an aromatic richness to this Grenache-dominant blend (Grenache noir 60%, Syrah 20%, Carignan 10%, Cinsault 5%, Mourvèdre 5%) suggesting notes of smoked nut, earth and violet alongside intensely ripe black fruit. Black-plum and cherry flavors are silky yet fresh, framed by finely textured but persistent tannins.
Food Pairings
Roast or grilled lamb, steaks, beef daube, chvre – either fresh or mature – and local cheeses like St-Marcellin
Third Party Reviews
“This Cairanne Domaine La Vitalis is a charming, character-filled wine that has classic notes of cured meats, peppery garrigue, and black raspberries. It’s not the longest or deepest wine out there, but it has character and should keep for 4-5 years.” – Jeb Dunnuck
