Tasting Notes
The Ferrand family has owned this charming chateau, which is located in the Entre Deux Mers area of Bordeaux, in the small town of Tizac de Curton. There are 17 hectares of vineyards planted to typical Bordeaux varieties. The main wine of their chateau is this red made from 75% merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvingon and 5% Cabernet Franc grown on limestone-clay soils.
A medium bodied wine that is round, chewy and supple with loads of black fruits like plum, blackberry and black cherry. The wine is aged in only cement vats (no oak), yet it has some spicy notes as well as wet earth, Quite dry, but with fresh acidity. The tannin structure is elevated, but with fine tannins that contribute to a generous mouthfeel. This is a great quality Bordeaux for the price. 12.5% alc
