Mixed Case – Valentine’s European Sampler

Our Valentine’s European Sampler case includes wines from all the powerhouse wine producing countries of the Mediterranean – Spain, Italy, Greece and France.

$275.40 case of 12 bottles (Avg. $22.95 a bottle)

Codorniu Anna Brut Cava N/V (Penedes, Spain):

This Blanc de Blancs (made only with white grapes) was the first cava to use Chardonnay (70%) in its coupage which gives it an exceptional freshness and a unique personality. The wine spends at least 15 months on the lees, making it a Reserva Cava. The bubbles are continuous, persistent, and fine, forming a sumptuous mousse. The bouquet is fresh and citrusy with tropical fruit and complex aging aromas of toast and brioche. The palate is creamy, long lasting and refreshing.

Kupelwieser Pinot Grigio 2022 (Alto Adige, Italy):

The Kupelwieser label is one of the oldest in the Alto Adige the mountainous region in the north of Italy. Their Pinot Grigio is grown on the fertile valley floor and yields are kept low to assure the highest quality. Expect and brilliant straw-yellow with that displays a bouquet if pear, green apple with hints of lemon and mountain herbs. The palate is medium bodied and elegant with crisp, dry and persistent finish.

Gaia 4-6H Rosé 2022 (Nemea, Greece):

Gaia is one of the most renowned wineries of Greece with a presence both on Santorini and the mainland. The Gaia 4-6H Rosé is produced from the native red grape Agiorgitiko grown on well drained hillside vineyards with clay/limestone soils. Elaborated in temperature controlled stainless steel vats, the name 4-6H refers to the time the must is left in contact with the skins (4 to 6 hours) which produces its lovely pale pink hue. A bright and fresh style of rosé which features aromas of red fruit, white flowers and a slight creaminess on the palate.

Fonte de Courtedune Vaucluse 2020 (Rhône Valley, France):

This is an atypical blend of Merlot and Syrah. This Vaucluse bursts with aromas of wild cherry, violet, black olive, dried herbs and leather. The palate is medium bodied, dense and creamy with dried fruit and a cocoa note on the finish which is distinguished by soft tannins and a very pleasant persistence.
