Tasting Notes

Vineyard : Exposed South/East, the “Côte de Léchet” 1er Cru Chablis vineyard is exceptional. This fifty year old parcel produces very straight wines, with an exceptional concentration and minerality. A great wine for laying down.

Estate Tasting note : White gold colour with light green tints. Very subtle nose of white flowers in its youth. Elegant and fresh on the palate. The finish is very mineral. As the estate is firmly in the no oak aging category, the purity of fruit is enhanced by maturation in stainless steel tanks.  This is sourced from an excellent 1er Cru from the left bank, its exposure and its very chalky soil make it a wine of great power and minerality.

Third Party Reviews

Burghound Review : A classic Côte de Léchet nose features plenty of citrus character along with notes of oyster shell, mineral reduction and an appealing spice nuance. There is fine volume to the caressing but decidedly punchy flavors that could also use more depth, but the stuffing appears to be present for that to occur and my rating assumes that it will if allowed a few years of bottle age first. Score: 91 – Outstanding
