Prima Fonte

Prima Fonte is part of a family of wineries under the umbrella of Degli Azzoni Wines (DAW). DAW is owned by three brothers, Aldobrando, Filippo and Valperto. Prima Fonte is one of two wineries representing wines from the Marche region; the other is Azzoni. Between the two wineries, they have an interesting range of wines from Marche.

Aware that the strength of a company is measured on diversification, for more than thirty years the family wineries have also cultivated fresh basil, for the production of pesto, and parsley (both certified GLOBAL GAP), as well as arugula, nettles, radishes and other vegetables and legumes. Azzoni and Prima Fonte have practiced sustainable cultivation, and has more recently converted many of their vineyards to organic viticultural practices.
