The backbone of this Cabernet Sauvignon is derived from the Truchard Vineyard in Carneros, with vineyard sites extending into the lower hillsides of the Mayacamas mountain range. The balance of fruit is sourced from the Suseri Vineyard in Chiles Valley, adding layers of rich fruit to the palate. The small berry clusters and intense fruit from low-yielding vines create a wine with full flavor and longevity. The grapes were hand picked at optimum ripeness. Following destemming, the grapes were stainless steel fermented and received extended skin contact before being transferred to barrels. The wine was aged in small French oak barrels for 20 months (35% new barrels) where the wine completed malolactic fermentation. The wine was racked prior to bottling. Full-throttle character with lots of generous, ripe fruit. The layers of juicy, dark fruit have rich undertones of cocoa and vanilla, and lead to a lingering finish with silky tannins. Read Less

Chateau Moulin Delille is located at Leyssac in the heart of the St Estephe wine appellation. The estate comprises some 24 hectares of vineyard on clay / gravelly soils and is owned by the fifth generation of the Ollier family. It is currently owned and managed by Christian Ollier and his daughter Coralie. The flagship wine of the estate is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot, handpicked and sourced from vines with an average age of 35 years. It undergoes a traditional fermentation in concrete and then aging in a mix of first and second use barrels for 18 months. Just 13,000 bottles produced. The nose is spicy with blackberry, blueberry, plum and sandalwood aromas. The palate is powerful with a round mouth feel and ripe black fruit, supported by plenty of tannins typical of Saint Estephe, however they are beautifully ripe and not at all astringent. There is a long toasty finish. (14% alc) Read Less

Howell Mountain is Dunn’s estate bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon. Their vineyards lie at 1400 feet above sea level, above the fog, so when it is foggy in Napa it is sunny on the mountain. However, despite this excess of sunshine, temperatures are cooler, especially at night. Grapes develop thick skins in this environment, and the Dunn style is to produce a wine that shows the power and structure of the mountain. Tannins require time to soften, but these wines have great richness, complexity and longevity. Read Less
