Tasting Notes
Scala Dei Garnatxa is sourced from 15-25 year-old Grenache vines located in the Pregona, Parada, Closos, Pla Saqueta and Forsans estate vineyards. Hillside vines are planted on terraces, also known as costers—composed primarily of limestone and slate soils. Due to the intense landscape and desire to obtain only the finest grapes, harvesting is carried out solely by hand. Grapes are selected based on fresh fruit concentration, maturity of tannins and bright acidity.
This is a fresh wine dominated by red fruit notes. Cherry red in color with bluish hues that denote its youth. Aromas of ripe red berries with underlying mineral hints from the licorella terrior. Red berries reappear on the palate with a rounded mouthfeel. A balanced wine with lots of fresh fruit.
Food Pairings
Grilled meats, venison, cured cheeses, cured ham and other charcuterie. Ideal for tapas and all kinds of pastas
Third Party Reviews
A fresh and very satisfying grenache red with plenty of fresh berry and floral aromas. The moderate tannins fit neatly into the medium body and the finish is crisp. Very food-friendly. Drink now or in 2019. Score 90, James Suckling, August 2018

Just got through a case over the last month or so. Good value for the money. Fruit forward wine with a very nice finish. Very food friedly. Served at a dinner party last weekend and friends wanted to buy the two remaining bottles. Ordering another case tonight.
