This Brut Authentique is a beautiful, full-bodied Champagne which celebrates the classic trio of Champagne grapes – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier – by including them all in equal proportions. The result is a sensational golden wine with delicious aromas of dry fruit and honey which works well both with food and on its own. We love to serve a chilled glass alongside a shellfish platter on a sunny afternoon or simply as an apéritif all year round!
Don’t just serve Champagne as an aperitif. Try pairing with starters like asparagus and avocado salad or a pasta course such as linguini with clams and fennel.
Third Party Reviews
The Gobillard family has several branches in Hautvillers. Hervé and Florence are located at the entrance of the village. The Brut Authentique makes use of all three Champagne grape varieties but gives primacy to the black grapes (70%, the two pinots being equal parts). The nose combines fresh notes of red fruits with more sophisticated nuances evoking undergrowth and applesauce. The balanced mouth shows a nice freshness that makes it perfect as an aperitif.
