Tasting Notes
Vino Bianco; Weißwein ; Vino Blanco; Λευκό κρασί (not a typo!) … when it comes to white wines consumed in our market, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and local Riesling account for the lion’s share. Even if you ONLY drink white wines, chances are you seldom venture outside the Fab Four varietals. Fear not, this is your chance to explore 4 different Euro white varietals and expand your wine journey.
In this 12 bottle case, you will receive 3 bottles each of the following four wines:
Albariño (Spain): Raimat’s 2019 “Saira” Albariño is pale yellow in color with greenish hues. Intense aromas of citrus, dried flowers and spices with an additional hint of sweet vanilla.
Grechetto (Italy): Azzoni’s 2019 Grechetto is from Marche, in central Italy. Fine and elegant aromas of white flowers, almonds, pear and white peach. Fresh and balanced on the palate with particular weight, a touch of minerality and a mouth-watering finish.
Grüner Veltliner (Austria): From Zahel Winery in Vienna, this wine shows zesty citrusy fruit, ripe apples and green pepper come together in a refreshing, balanced wine with great acidity and an ample mouth feel, finishing clean and lively.
Moschofilero + Roditis + Assyrtiko (Greece): Gaia Estate’s Notios is a marriage of mainland and Island varietals. This is the only blended white, and the result may express the most broadly based flavour profile of the group. It has aromas of perfumed floral and white fruit as well as sweet citrus
