Tasting Notes
Undoubtably one of the most aesthetically beautiful estates in Napa Valley, Spottswoode has been producing exceptional wines since their first vintage in 1982. These highly celebrated wines regularly receive high praise from wine journalists and critics. They will make a valuable addition to any cellar.
2021 Sauvignon Blanc :
Produced from organically grown estate fruit and fruit obtained from other select, family-owned vineyards, located in Napa and Sonoma County. The fermentation and maturation occurs in a combination of French oak barrels, stainless steel, clay amphora and ceramic and concrete eggs. This is one of the world’s greatest Sauvignon Blancs and it will continue to develop with careful cellaring over the next decade.
2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley “Lyndenhurst” :
Named for the fragrant linden tress that dot the property, the Lyndenhurst cuvée is produced from both organic estate fruit and fruit from other acclaimed family-owned vineyards. Sourced from 6 appellations in Napa, the complex blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (77%), Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot is aged for 20 months in French Oak barrels (42% new).
