Domaine Lapalus – Macon-Milly-Lamartine White 2022:
Domaine Lapalus is a small 17-hectare family run vineyard. Their parcel of 5 hectares of Chardonnay in the Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine Village appellation is carefully harvested and vinified in stainless steel with an extended period of aging on the fine lees. The goal is to create a wine that is fresh, floral and aromatic and is easy to enjoy.
The 2021 Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine has plenty of complexity with white flowers, honeysuckle and pineapple aromas jumping out of the glass. Fine, clean and precise. The medium bodied palate is marked by a distinct floral and spicy note that lingers on the palate.
Elouan – Chardonnay 2020 (Oregon, USA):
The 2020 Elouan Chardonnay opens up with beautiful aromas of citrus and white pear accompanied by notes of violet and apricot. Pale straw yellow in color, it has bright and lively acidity with rich flavors of tropical fruit, lemon, and juicy nectarine. This wine has a smooth and well-balanced mouth-feel, with a lingering and bright finish.
The wine is barrel fermented in French oak (50% new) for 14 months undergoing full malolactic fermentation.
