Sourced from the Central Coast AVA, where high winds, dry days, and ocean fogs create a cool, but very long, growing season. These conditions are ideal for grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, and lead to full, forward fruit flavors and ideal acidity. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and completed malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, where it aged for 11 months prior to bottling. It has rich layers of black cherry, strawberries and plums framed by black licorice and vanilla. Fruit, acid, tannin and oak enhancements are in harmony and yield a wine that is soft and approachable for everyday drinking.
Serve with grilled burgers or poultry from the Bar-b-que, lamb, dark chocolate or cheese
