Deep ruby red color, it has an intense, ethereal bouquet, with the licorice, crushed roses and tar, alongside heady, spicy aromas. The wine is very dry with great structure and firm ripe tannins.
In it youth try with braised beef cheeks to counteract the firm tannins. As the wine ages, it will pair with softer veal and mushroom type dishes or mushroom rissoto.

The 2015 Barolo Bussia is a wine of power, density and gravitas, all of which come through in its decidedly vertical feel and rather somber expression. A whole range of balsamic-infused notes wrap around a core of dark fruit as this potent Barolo shows off its distinctive personality. The 2015 needs time to be at its best, but it is unquestionably impressive, even in the very early going. Score 94, Antonio Galloni, Nov 2019
