Conca D’Oro is a small, family-run farm situated just west of the ancient city of Conegliano along the prosecco wine road. The vineyards are ideally positioned in an amphitheater shape (Conca meaning shell), which allows for maximum sun exposure and ripening.
The city of Treviso is located approximately 30KM north of Venice in the Italian province of the Veneto. The area of the commune of Treviso delineates the boundaries for the Prosecco Treviso DOC which is a more specific designation within the large Prosecco DOC. The soils and climate of the region produce sparkling wines with a great balance of sweetness and acidity. Treviso is known for being one of the original locations for Prosecco production. Beside producing incredible wines, it is also the birthplace of the popular dessert tiramisu.
Conco d’Oro Prosecco “Cuvée Nobile” Brut Treviso 2023:
Produced over a period of 60 days using the “charmat” or closed tank method. Elaborated as a “Brut”, this is a dry style of Prosecco. Expect a brilliant wine with pale green reflections. The mousse is finely structured, gentle but persistent. Aromas of acacia flowers, citrus and a note of hazelnut can be detected on the bouquet. In the mouth the bubbles are fine and aromatic with a lingering and elegant finish. A perfect toast at a summer garden party, with cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches or with a classic Margarita pizza.
Type/Variety/Body: Sparkling White (< 10 g/l RS), 100% Glera, Light 11.5% Alc.
Conca d’Oro Prosecco Rosé Brut Treviso 2023:
This is a charming pink sparkler. In the glass it shows a brilliant, pale salmon colour with a persistent stream of bubbles. The bouquet displays a melange of red fruit aromas such as strawberry, and raspberry with scents of watermelon, cotton candy and Turkish delight. On the palate, the fine bubbles create a light creamy sensation on the tongue which finishes dry and crisp amid lingering strawberry notes. Would be lovely as an aperitif, with fried fish or with soft fresh ricotta or burrata cheeses (particularly if the cheese is served with sweet summer peaches).
Type/Variety/Body: Sparkling Rosé (< 8 g/l RS), 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Noir, Light 11.5% Alc.
