Tasting Notes
We are offering a small number of 3 bottle cases of the highly acclaimed Dunn Vineyards 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the end of our allocation of this exceptional cellar candidate, so grab some now!
Since 1979, Randy Dunn and his family have been crafting some of the most highly regarded and age worthy Cabernet Sauvignon wines made in California.
The Napa Valley Cabernet is always 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. In the 2019 vintage it was sourced from the estate’s vineyards on Howell Mountain (78%) with a small quantity of purchased grapes (22%) from Coombsville on the valley floor. The wine matures for 32 months in 100% new French oak barrels.

Third Party Reviews
“Ripe and polished, with a friendly beam of warmed cassis and plum sauce flavors flanked by singed vanilla and apple wood. Reveals a tug of tobacco on the finish. Leans to toasty in the end, but is solidly built nevertheless. Drink now through 2034.”
– 91 Points James Molesworth (Wine Spectator)
“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a powerful and tannic wine. In some vintages, the Napa Valley bottling is quite accessible, but not here. Swarths of tannins wrap around a core of dark fruit, gravel, spice, dried flowers, lavender and charred earth are pushed forward, with firm, chocolatey tannins that wrap it all together. This brooding Cabernet needs at least a few years to settle. The 2019 is a bruiser, that is for sure!”
– 93+ Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous October 2022)
