  • Domaine de la Villaudiere Sancerre 2022

Sancerre, in the upper Loire Valley, is the benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc in Europe — crisp and fruity, with racy acidity. The soil is composed of limestone and fossilized seashells, which gives the wine an unmistakable minerality. This wine displays a limpid, pale yellow hue with golden highlights. Expressive on the nose, combining floral fragrances with aromas of white peach and exotic fruit (pineapple, passion fruit). Well-balanced and honest on entry, the wine is underpinned by freshness and powerful, long-lasting acidity on the finish, revealing a lovely minerality.

  • Domaine-de-la-Guicharde-Massif-dUchaux-Cuvee-Genest

Domaine de la Guicharde Massif d’Uchaux Cuvee Genest 2019

70% Grenache, 30% Syrah. The wine shows moderate to deep ruby red colour, with an almost purple hue indicative of its youth. A complex and rich mix of aroma’s, including black cherry, tapenade (black olive puree) crab apple, plum, cranberry and stewed strawberry fruit, with subtle licorice and mint. On the palate, the wine mirrors the nose, although the fruits tend to show a little more of a black nature than the pretty nose would imply. Some salty, black licorice notes on the finish, as well as a bit of alcoholic weight (15.5%).
