All grapes are sourced from Ceretti’s small, estate-owned vineyards. Ceretti has chosen to use 100% Barbera (DOCG allows for 90% + others) and to mature these wines in neutral Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months. They chose neutral oak to represent Barbera unadulterated, allowing the local terroir to shine. The Slavonian oak opens up the wine to better reveal its natural, flavour profile.
This wine is ruby red with garnet highlights and intense, full, lingering aromas. The palate shows a warm and ample texture with notes of wild berry, cherry, cocoa, and nutmeg.
