Tasting Notes
2021 marks the first year the wine is 100% Sangiovese. The Chianti Classico 2021 is a ruby red colour with purple reflections. The wine opens with a bouquet of plum, cherry and blackberry complimented by aromas of iris, violet and wild herbs. The wine presents a good tannic structure on the palate with lingering flavours of red fruit and mild oak. It will improve with mid-term cellaring.
This edition is from the excellent 2021 vintage rated 98 points by Wine Spectator

Third Party Reviews
“The 2021 Chianti Classico is a potent, deep, structured wine that hits so many right notes. Readers will find a structured, expansive wine loaded with personality. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice and licorice are all amplified in the super-classic Greve Chianti Classico. This is a standout.” – 92 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous June 2024)
