Tasting Notes
This is the first vintage of Rosato from the Biondi Santi estate in Maremma, Tuscany. It is a collaboration between Jacopo and his son Tancredi, hence the J & T in the name. While fresh and fruity on the nose, this is a serious wine, with considerable power and body. It is representative of the new style of Rosé coming out of Europe which can be enjoyed young, but which have the capacity to age for the medium term.
Food Pairings
Pair with grilled chicken, pork, fish tacos, tortellini with ricotta and spinach or tomato and mozzarella di bufala

“The new Rosato produced on the estate of Jacopo Biondi Santi in Scansano in the Maremma – from Sangiovese Grosso grown at 300 to 450 metres above sea level. We love the fresh nose (white flowers, red berries) as well as the energy and full body of the palate. This would go well with white meats and fresh cheeses.” Food & Wine Italia, Summer 2020 Issue
“Rosé from the Sangiovese grosso variety BBS11, which the Biondi Santi grow in Maremma. It has a soft, bright color, but there is a real heft, a wine that plays between tradition and innovation. The nose is fresh with a nice note of raspberry and rose, the mouth is full with a very long freshness that plays between the balsamic and the fruit tones. A great wine.” TG24 “Five red and five rosé wines that impressed us, tasted during the lockdown” July 2020
