Massimo Lentsch

Owner since 2005 of Tenuta di Castellero on the Sicilian Island of LIpari, this is Massimo Lentsch’s latest project. Founded in 2018 on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, Massimo Lentsch is intent to explore a different facet of volcanic terroir. A brand new winery has been built to craft wines that are both modern and guided by traditional methods. “The decision to create vineyards and a winery on Etna has arrived at a particular moment in my life, in which much has altered at a personal level: a sort of milestone that marks an important change. Producing high-quality wines in a very fashionable, but also extremely competitive, region represents a major challenge for me, and one that I intend to win.” explains Lentsch.
