Produced using the Tradtional Method of sparkling wine production, and aged for at least 15 months on lees, making this a Reserva Cava. Brilliant yellow colour with green reflections. Fine, persistent bubbles forming continuous beads. On the nose, it displays citrusy and tropical fruit notes along with more complex aging aromas (toast & brioche) that enrich the range of aromas. On the palate, it is creamy, wide and long-lasting. The result is a highly versatile wine, pairable with a great variety of food.
This has become the flagship Cava of Codorniu. It is wildly popular in Spain, and quickly catching on in the U.S. It is fresh and crisp, with lots of acidity (8-10 gms/liter) and it is extremely dry (only 1.3 g/l dosage of residual sugar). Anna de Codorníu, made from 70 percent Chardonnay and 30 percent Parellada (indigenous variety known for its acidity), is my candidate for the world’s best value sparkling wine. Score 90, June 2013

Tasting Notes
2014 shows a dark inky colour and concentrated flavours, although the wine is still as elegant as previous vintages. A fascinating demonstration of the effect of two different soil types, with the same vinification. Good soft tannin structure. Abounds with cassis, blackberry and spicy notes. Complex and layered, with good definition and structure. Drink now and for a few years.

Tasting Notes
This wine shows a beautiful balance between finesse and body. Pretty and fragrant with flavours highlighting raspberry, strawberry and black currants, with fine tannins and a hint of vanilla. Can accompany meals of pork or chicken, but also has enough structure to stand up to beef or lamb dishes.
